Credit cards

Former Bexley council leader Ian Clement has had his credit card confiscated by Boris Johnson. Duncan Borrowman is calling for him to go.

Old Bexley & Sidcup Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate Duncan Borrowman has called on Boris Johnson's Deputy Ian Clement to quit or be sacked following revelations about his use of a credit card issued at taxpayers expense.

Mr Clement, the former Conservative Leader of Bexley Council has had his GLA credit card confiscated following £1500 of expenditure on a personal car CD player, eating out and personal groceries.

Duncan Borrowman said: "The public are sick to death of the abuse by politicians of expenses. The fact he has paid the money back is not enough, the fact he was prepared to charge these bills to the public in the first place shows he is not fit for office. This is the latest sleaze exposure from a Bexley Tory, following on from the truly appalling behaviour by Derek Conway MP."
