Duncan Borrowman, the newly selected Liberal Democrat candidate for the next General Election in Old Bexley & Sidcup, has launched an inquiry on his website into NHS services, with particular emphasis on Queen Mary's Hospital SIdcup.

Duncan Borrowman said: "Queen Mary's has always been an important hospital to me, they have treated me since my childhood, and both my daughters were born there.

"In 2003 I attended a Queen Mary's Trust Board meeting and raised my concerns about the hospital's financial state. In particular I was concerned that any downgrading of A&E services would have an inevitable impact on the viability of other facilities and lead to questions about the future of the hospital"
